In other news, RIIIIIIIIIIIIVAAAAAAAAAA! Yesh, ladies and gentlemen, the Rica went all the way to Osaka today to abuse the netcafé so I could send her SMAP stuffies. Okay, so she really went so she could talk to all of us, but still. The SMAP stuff is here and it must be sent and damn it, she will receive it! *shakes fist*

Egads! It recently came to me that I neglected to quote the letter Tey mailed me, so pardon me while I go do that and thank god that winamp isn't playing Shingo Mama no O-ha Rock...

Well, The Mother threw out her back at work. Badly. So she went to the ER and blah blah blah she's okay now, and home. But she's still doped up on the pain medication they gave her at the hospital, although she's coming out of it now. But while she was incredibly stoned on it she was adamant that I drive her car back to the house from where she works. Me, Miss No License and Very Little Experience Driving on a Well-Traveled Road. *snort* I was scared. Driving doesn't bother me at all. I can drive all day. It's the other people on the road who worry me. Just yesterday I saw a car nearly get t-boned by a big truck because the car ran the red light on the bypass. -_-;;;

So anyway, The Uncle drove me down to where The Mother works and I drove the car around the parking lot a couple of times so I could get used to it--I hate The Mother's car. The brakes need work and the steering's so quick that if you move the wheel a half-inch the car goes three feet in whatever direction you moved the wheel. Not to mention the fact that the roadfront where The Mother works is in a really bad spot--you can't see anything coming from your right when you're pulling out, so you have to make sure there's nothing coming for a long way on the left, and ease out until you can see whether or not you can pull out onto the road.

I did all that and I was okay--weaved a little bit at first until I got used to the steering. After that I kept it pretty much straight except for the time I swerved a little to avoid a bad pothole, but hell, everyone does that. Had no problems with stoplights or anything like that, although I was scared to death a cop would pull me over for some reason or another and find out I had no license. Cop pulling over a driving Tri + lack of license = BAD. That didn't happen, though. Luckily. Someone did pull out right in front of me, but at least they had their foot on the gas pedal and got the hell out of my way.

The only problem I thought I might have--once I got out on the road and calmed down a bit, that is--was the light at the intersection two streets above where I turn to get to my house. The trees are so thick at the side of the road and the light's in a curve so you can't see whether it's red or green until you're right at it. It was green when I got to it, and I nearly floored it because I wanted to get through it before it turned yellow on me. I didn't floor it, but that's not to say I didn't go seventy in a thirty-five MPH zone right there. *snort* I think I forgot about cops for the moment there, but I got away with it so it's all good.

So yeah, that was my Event O' The Day.

*whimpers* Make it stop, make it stop, make it stop.

In addition to everything I wrote in my last entry (I think it was my last; I can't be bothered to check), my body decided today would be a good day to make me start my period. Yoj.
